10 Days Gorilla trekking & Masai Mara
The Bwindi impenetrable forest is situated in Southwestern Uganda and along the border of the Democratic Republic of Congo. It’s home to almost half of the worlds remaining endangered Mountain Gorillas. Masai Mara a large game reserve located in Narok County with open grassland and seasonal riverlets is known for its inhabitants, the wildebeests that migrate from Serengeti around July in search of water and pasture.

Detailed itinerary for the 10 Days Gorilla trekking & Masai Mara;
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park.
After breakfast, the safari guide will drive you to the airport in time to catch your morning flight to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. It takes 2 hours 15 min. to fly to Kihihi airstrip where you will be picked and driven to the lodge. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge of your choice.
Day 2: -Gorilla Trekking- Batwa experience
Early in the morning after breakfast, meet at the headquarters for a pre-trekking briefing. The briefing begins at 7 am and the real activity at 8 am. With armed rangers join in the search for the habituated mountain gorillas. The length of the search will depend on the movement of the Gorillas. Upon finding them you are allowed one hour of taking pictures and interacting with them. Later return to your Lodge and if time allows you will relax and have an evening of a community visit. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge of your choice.
Day 3: -Transfer to the airport- Nairobi
Early in the morning after breakfast check out of your lodge and drive to kihihi airstrip ready to fly to Entebbe to catch your flight to Jomo Kenyatta International airport Nairobi.
Arrive in Nairobi, which is a 50 minutes flight from Uganda’s’ Entebbe international airport to Kenya’s Jomo Kenyatta international airport. Our driver guide will transfer you to the Hotel of your choice for your overnight stay.
Day 4: – Nairobi-Giraffe center & Orphanage
After breakfast you will head out to the giraffe centre that was created by a non-profit organisation called African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (A.F.E.W) with the purpose of bringing awareness to school children, youth, local and international visitors about Kenya’s wildlife and environment and the opportunity to come into close contact with the world’s tallest animal, the Giraffe. Visit the Animal orphanage a refuge for wild animals found abandoned, orphaned or injured throughout Kenya. If time allows go out for a city tour. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel of your choice.
Day 5: -Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park.
Early after breakfast, check out of your room and meet the driver at 8 am. Drive Westwards of Nairobi. Lake Nakuru is 156 km and is home to both the white and black rhinos, Rothschild giraffe, Lions, Leopards, and Hippos. Arrive in time for Lunch and Later an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge of your choice.
Day 6: -Full Day Game drives in Lake Nakuru
Start the day very early at six with a game drive. Expect to see the early risers like the Lions, cheaters, Buffaloes, Gazelles, and many more. Drive to the lake and see different aquatic birds. Return to your Lodge for breakfast, relax, take Lunch and head out for an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at your Lodge. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge of your choice.
Day 7: – Transfer to Masai Mara.
This day begins early and departure will be 6 am. Masai Mara is 300Km 5-7hours drive via Kaplong-Narok-Maai road. Ascend through the western rim and cross Loita plains. Check into your lodge, take lunch then after head out for a game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge of your choice.
Day 8: -Full day Masai Mara game drives.
Early in the morning, take breakfast and depart at 6 am for an early game drive. Meet the early risers such as lions, cheaters, and leopards as they hunt. Expect to see big herds of Buffaloes, Elephants, large schools of Hippos, a tower of giraffes and many more. The most amazing and impressive sight is nature’s most spectacular annual migration of wildlife approximately from July to October in millions. Return for lunch and afterward an afternoon of rest and leisure drive out for an evening game drive and see hippos, crocodiles and a variety of bird species. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge of your choice.
Day 9: -Hotair Balloon, Bush breakfast-Game drive, Masai village visit.
Early in the morning before dawn head to the Launch site for a briefing and then depart as you float over the plains, forests, and rivers of Mara. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and the breathtaking sights of the open grassland savannah. This gives you a good opportunity of seeing all the animals that you would probably not see during a game drive, plus good photography and videos. The adventure takes 1 hour and depending on the wind current you will land and be honored with a delicious bush breakfast with a lovely sparkling wine. After breakfast enjoy a game drive as you head to the Masai villages where you will interact with the Masai and learn their culture and lifestyle. Return for Lunch and leisure. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge of your choice.
Day 10:-Departure- Nairobi.
Check out of the lodge after breakfast and drive back to Nairobi. Transfer to the airport in time to catch your flight back home.
