A detailed Safari Itinerary of 12 Days Wildlife, Chimps, Gorilla Safari:
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to your lodge.
Upon your arrival at Entebbe Airport, our guide from Twende Expeditions will meet you and then transfer you to Lake Heights hotel for your overnight stay. (B.B)
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Early in the morning, your guide from Twende Expeditions will brief you about this 12 Days Wildlife, Chimps, Gorilla Safari. After that, drive to the beautiful Murchison falls. You will stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola to track rhinos. Afterward, drive to the top of the breathtaking Murchison falls; followed by an evening game drive to see elephants, buffaloes, and warthogs as you head towards your lodge. Then check in for dinner and overnight at Fort Murchison (B.L.D)
Day 3: Game Drive and Boat cruise.
Have breakfast, and then an early morning game drive. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, Uganda kobs, lions may be leopards and hyenas. You will have packed lunch depending on how far your lodge is from the bank, after head for a 2 hours boat cruise to the bottom of the Murchison Falls. You will have a closer view of the mighty waterfall on the River Nile. Expect to see schools of hippos and Nile crocodiles as well as elephants, buffaloes along the shores. Variety bird species including the rare shoebill stork. Dinner and overnight at Fort Murchison (B.L.D)
Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Today after breakfast, you will transfer to Kibale National Park through the lush rolling hills of the Albert escarpment to Fort portal town. Have a short tour in Fort portal town with breathtaking views of the snow-capped Mountains of the moon and the royal palace. After that proceed to Kibale forest driving through the tea plantations. Check into your lodge for dinner and overnight at Kibale forest camp (B.L.D)

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking- Bigodi nature walk
After breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters to be briefed by the park rangers about chimpanzee tracking. Head out to the tropical forest as you search for the chimpanzees, and on finding them, you will spend an hour observing and taking photographs. Return for Lunch and in the evening you will also enjoy a swamp walk in Bigodi Swamp. Here you will spot different types of monkeys, wetland mammals such as sitatungas, baboons, and bushbucks. Besides, Bigodi swamp has over 200 species of birds including the great blue turaco, papyrus gonoleks, and flycatchers. Return to the lodge for dinner, and overnight at Kibale forest camp (B.L.D)
Day 6: Transfer to Queen
After breakfast, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Fort portal town, and as you enter the park lookout for some wild animals. Check in your lodge have lunch and later an evening game drive to see Elephants, warthogs, antelopes, and buffaloes. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Bush Lodge. (B.L.D).
Day 7: Game Drive and Boat cruise
Have an early breakfast before setting out on a game drive expect to see lions, antelopes, elephants, and buffaloes. Later return to your lodge for a hot lunch. Enjoy a 2 hours thrilling afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel, offering you a closer view of wildlife like hippos, buffaloes, and elephants along the shores. Besides, birders are likely to spot over 600 species like; malachite kingfishers, pink-backed pelicans and saddle billed stork. Dinner and overnight at Bush Lodge(B, L, D).
Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi forest
After breakfast, you will drive via Ishasha as you connect to Bwindi Impenetrable. Expect to see the famous tree climbing lions in the acacia trees as you exit the park. Arrive in Bwindi forest in the evening, then check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Haven lodge Buhoma (B.L.D)
Day 9: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa pygmies.
After an early breakfast, you will head to the briefing area for guidelines while trekking mountain gorillas. Rally behind your armed ranger for this exciting adventure as you hike in the forest. Once you have found the Gorillas, spend an hour observing and taking pictures. Later in the evening, you will visit the Batwa pygmies in their new communities. Dinner and overnight at Haven lodge Buhoma (B. L. D)
Day 10: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Have breakfast, then check and transfer to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi- the second deepest lake in Africa surrounded by the terraced hills. Check into your lodge, have lunch, and proceed for a canoe ride. Ride to some of the 29 dotted islands on this beautiful Lake Bunyonyi. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Arcadia Lodge. Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo
In the morning after breakfast, check out of your lodge and bid farewell to the Switzerland of Uganda. As you drive into Lake Mburo National Park, you will spot some wildlife. Enjoy an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo as you see hippos, crocodiles and a variety of bird species in the papyrus swamps. Also have a short game drive to see buffaloes, zebras, Topis, and giraffes. Check into your lodge for dinner and overnight at Arcadia lodge (B.L.D)
Day 12: Safari on foot -Transfer to Entebbe
Finally, after breakfast, you will be escorted by an armed ranger as you walk in the park. Lake Mburo is the only park in Uganda where one can enjoy a walking safari. Today is the final day of the 12 Days Wildlife, Chimps, Gorilla Safari. Return to your lodge freshen up and then check out. Drive back to Entebbe airport in time to catch your flight back home.
