8 Days Rwanda, Uganda Canopy & primate safari
Uganda and Rwanda are beautiful destinations. The 8 Days Rwanda, Uganda Canopy & primate safari will give you an opportunity to explore the; canopy bridge, primates, genocide memorial sites, snow-capped mountains, and beautiful wildlife.
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Hotel
Arrive in Kigali and transfer to the Hotel for an overnight stay at Hotel Chez Lando.
Day 2: Gisozi Genocide Memorial and city tour
In the morning after breakfast drive for a Kigali city tour. Visit the genocide memorial museum and the local market at Kimisagara. After lunch depart for Kibuye where you will overnight at Moriah Hill resort
Day 3: Kibuye Genocide Memorial and Canopy walk
Early after breakfast have the opportunity to visit another Genocide memorial site for 2 hours. At 10 am depart for Nyungwe for an afternoon Canopy walk. Once you get to the park, you will begin the unbelievable adventure, “the canopy walk”. Overnight at Nyungwe top view.
Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi- village walk. (Batwa)
Early in the Morning, you will depart to Bwindi. Arrive at the border and after going through the immigration procedures, drive to your Lodge. Check into your lodge and head out for the community visit. The Batwa were referred to as the original dwellers and keepers of this tropical rain forest. Dinner and overnight in Travellers Rest Kisoro.
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking –Transfer to Bunyonyi
Today will be the highlight of our safari. After breakfast transfer to the park headquarters to be briefed by the park ranger about mountain gorillas. At 8:00 Am you will set out into the impenetrable forest in groups led by park guides and rangers. The trekking duration is determined by the movements of the gorillas. However, on finding them you will spend about an hour taking photographs, videos and observing their amazing way of life. Later transfer to Bunyonyi and relax at the lodge that oversees many different islands on Lake Bunyonyi. Dinner and overnight at Acardia Lodge.
Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Boat Cruise
After breakfast transfer to Queen Elizabeth. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the beautiful coffee plantations. Arrive in the afternoon for the Boat cruise on Kazinga Channel, expect to see; some resident hippos, crocodiles and some wildlife along the banks.
Dinner and overnight at Bush Lodge.
Day 7: Game drive- Transfer to Rwenzori
After early morning breakfast, you will embark on a morning game drive. There are chances of spotting the nocturnal animals as they head back to their hidings. If lucky, you will spot lions, hyenas, and leopard. Later transfer to Kasese near Rwenzori for an overnight stay. Overnight in Sandton Hotel Kasese. (BB)
Day 8: Rwenzori Hike- Departure
Very early in the morning depart for Rwenzori. Start the hike early and with experienced guides, discover the beauty of the mountains of the moons’ flora. Return from the hike and depart for Entebbe by midday. Arrive at the airport by evening to catch your flight back home.
