Detailed Itinerary: 6 Days Partly Uganda Gorilla Safari.
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to the hotel.
Our guide from Twende will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel for your overnight stay at Central Inn Entebbe. (B.B)
Day 2: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.
After breakfast, our guide will brief you about the six days partly Uganda gorilla safaris then drive you to Lake Mburo national park. Stopover at the equator for an experiment at the equator and photographs. Proceed to Lake Mburo for lunch and afterward an afternoon boat cruise. Spot hippos, crocodiles and a variety of bird species in the swamp. Enjoy a short evening game drive to spot buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and topis. Dinner and overnight at Arcadia Cottages (B.L.D)
Day 3: Lake Mburo to Bwindi forest.
After breakfast join an armed ranger for a safari on foot only done in Lake Mburo national park. Check out of your lodge and drive to Bwindi forest. Check in your lodge for Lunch and relax as you wait for an adventurous gorilla trekking the following day. Dinner and overnight at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge (B.L.D).
Day 4: Gorilla trekking and Batwa Pygmies.
Have breakfast transfer to the park headquarter for a briefing about the do’s and don’t s while with the mountain gorillas. Rally behind the ranger for this fantastic experience as you trek into the impenetrable forest in search of the endangered mountain gorillas. Spend an hour observing and taking photographs. In the evening you will visit the Batwa pygmies who initially shared the forest with mountain gorillas. Listen to their forest stories as well as enjoy their dances. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge (B.L.D)
Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth.
After breakfast say bye to the land of mountain gorillas as you transfer to Queen Elizabeth via the Ishasha. Ishasha sector is famously known for its tree-climbing lions which can be spotted laying in the fig trees watching their prey graze in the plain. Take an evening game drive as you enter the park and spot elephants, buffaloes, and warthogs. Dinner and overnight at Ihamba Lodge (B.L.D)
Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking and Departure.
After breakfast, you will rally behind a ranger at Kyambura Gorge in search for the habituated chimpanzees. Check out of your lodge and drive back to Entebbe. Go on a shopping spree at the African craft market or drive straight to the airport to catch your flight back home.
End of 6 Days Partly Uganda Gorilla Safari.
