4 Days Rwanda Gorillas & Bisoke. This Rwanda safari takes you to Volcanoes national park home of mountain gorillas as well as hiking the 4th highest Virunga mountain called Mt. Bisoke.
Mount Bisoke, is Volcanic and has the largest crater lake among all the peaks in the Virunga mountain range
Detailed itinerary 4 Days Rwanda Gorillas & Bisoke.
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park.
Early in the morning, our safari guide will pick you from your residence or Airport in Kigali. Enjoy Kigali city tour, visit the Genocide memorial site, the local market, have lunch and drive to Volcanoes National Park. Dinner and overnight at Kinigi guesthouse (B.L.D)
Day 2: Gorilla trekking
After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the mountain gorillas. Afterwards, proceed to trek the gorillas. On finding the gentle giants, you will also spend an hour taking pictures. After the remarkable adventure with the gorillas, you will have lunch and later visit the twin lake Bulera and Ruhondo. Then return for dinner and overnight at Kinigi guesthouse (B.L.D)
Day 3: Hiking Mt.Bisoke 3711 Meters
Have an early breakfast at your lodge and then head to the Kinigi headquarters for a briefing. Mt Bisoke is also the 4th highest mountain in the Virunga ranges with a beautiful crater lake at the top. However, hiking mount Bisoke takes one day, and is a tough hike requiring good fitness. By 7.30 Am you will set off and transfer to the head trail starting point of the hike. From here you get hiking sticks, and it’s also necessary to hire a porter to carry your backpack. Later return to Kinigi guesthouse for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Transfer back to Kigali
In the morning after breakfast, you will drive back to Kigali in time to catch your flight back home.
